Iklim akademik di perguruan tinggi menuntut mahasiswa memiliki penyesuaian diri yang mumpuni. Namun, tidak menutup kemungkinan terdapat kurang adaptif sehingga memengaruhi pencapaian prestasi akademiknya. Konseling dengan pendekatan reality therapy dapat digunakan untuk membantu menjadi pribadi lebih bertanggung jawab. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas konseling dalam meningkatkan mahasiswa. menggunakan metode single case experimental design perlakuan berupa pemberian terhadap seorang semester 5 mengalami hambatan akademik. Instrumen penelitian skala Data dianalisis secara deskriptif menggambarkan perubahan dialami subjek sebelum dan setelah mengikuti konseling. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan diberikan therapy. Subjek kemajuan memetakan target perkuliahan mampu kegigihan akademik.Academic climate in Higher Education requires students to have a good adaptation, but it does not rule out the possibility that there are who less adaptive and thus affect their academic achievement.
